My Data Outlet (MDO) announced that Stephen Talken has joined the company as Director of Sales. Steve will be responsible for sales of new software licensing agreements as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.
Steve brings over 14 years of experience in the investment software and services industry, working with clients hands-on and understanding client workflows. He began his career at Refinitiv supporting products such as MarketQA and QA Direct. He later transitioned to a sales role where he was responsible for leading numerous enterprise deals with some of the largest asset managers in the industry.
“We are excited to bring Steve to MDO. He is very well known within our industry and allows us to further focus on anticipating client needs. We expect him to make an immediate impact on our revenue growth,” commented Patrick Howerter, Founder and CEO of MDO. “As a sales leader for many of the key data software products utilized by our clients, he has a unique understanding of our products and the data options available for our clients. Moreover, he clearly understands the challenges they face with data integration.”
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to join the MDO team”, said Stephen Talken. “We are seeing a continued trend towards open-source programming languages in the financial research community. I have seen first hand how the MDO technology helps bridge the gap between analytics and the underlying database and eliminates the need for clients to learn database schemas and write SQL code. After 14 years of working with clients in the financial data community I am excited to combine my experience with MDO and help improve client’s workflows with our MDO platform capabilities.”
